I recently co-hosted a hen party craft day with my best friend Liz (of www.heathtfeltbyliz.com). It was a fantastic day of felt making and bag decorating.
The girls had a ‘Mrs Mop’ theme and turned up in their aprons and dusters.
We started with a champagne welcome in Liz’s story telling yurt.
The Idea was the girls would each design a felt square to make a wall hanging for the bride to be, to hang in her new home.
They started by drawing something related to the wedding and the couple themselves.
Once they had designed their piece it was time to get making….
It was time for lunch all too soon
After lunch it was time to start the bag decorating. These bags were to be goodie bags that we packed with felting kits for them to try at home.
The hours flew by and all too soon it was time for them to leave
- Arrival of the hen party
- drawing their designs
- more designs
- Starting to felt
- rolling their felt
- decorated bags
- Snack time
- in the story telling yurt
- Leaving with goodie bags
- bride to be with her man!
- she just realised he’s naked
- this will be the final wall hanging

How fun is this!!! What an awesome get-together you put on!
Thank you Annette. The whole thing was inspired by my best friend. I hope we can co-ordinate our businesses again to run more Hen party days.
Apparently your creative knows “no bounds” – this was incredible!!! Thanks for expanding my creative horizon (again) Gina!
Tor, Just you wait till that baby arrives and you’re up to your elbows in finger painting and playdough, you’ll be showing me a thing or too xx
WOW! LOVE the pics :) You’re awe-inspiring Gina!
Thank you Jenny for your very kind words. I can’t take all the credit as my best friend Liz is the felt maker and she asked me to come and help her host the day. A great day it was too. x
